The variety was obtained by crossing the varieties Ben More and Ben Lomond. The plant is a compact, upright bush 1.0–1.5 m in height. The variety is late-flowering, which allows the flowers to avoid damage from spring frosts, and is characterized by high winter hardiness.
The fruits ripen in August. The berries are black, shiny, with a sweet-and-sour taste and a pronounced aroma; the average fruit weight varies from 1.5 to 3.0 g. The variety shows good or medium resistance to powdery mildew and leaf spot.
The variety is self-fertile and characterized by high productivity. It is suitable for mechanical harvesting, intended primarily for industrial processing, including the production of juices, wines, jams, and freezing, and is also suitable for cultivation in home gardens.
