The variety forms a vigorous bush 1.2–1.5 meters tall with a broad spreading habit. It belongs to the early maturity group, with fruits beginning to ripen in early July. The plant is sensitive to frost.
The berries are large, deep black in color, and gathered in characteristic long clusters. The fruits are aromatic and have a tart taste with low sugar content. The variety is traditionally used for making juices, jams, jellies, and for fresh consumption.
