The bush is broad and spreading. In young plants, shoots are strong and covered with brown-gray bark, which peels only slightly. Leaves are dark green, lobed, with blunt lobes and a finely serrated margin, attached to petioles 3–4 cm long.

Inflorescences are racemes up to 8 cm long, bearing 10–12 flowers. Flowers have a pale green color, cup-shaped form, and recurved sepals. Berries are round, dark red, glossy, and reach 1.2–1.4 cm in diameter.
