The variety has a wide, spreading habit. Young shoots are strong, covered with brown-gray bark with slight peeling. Dark green lobed leaves have a fine-toothed margin and petioles 3–4 cm long.
Clusters are about 8 cm long and consist of 10–12 cup-shaped, pale green flowers. Berries are dark red, shiny, round in shape, 1.2–1.4 cm in diameter, and have a sweet-and-sour taste.
The variety matures from early to mid-July. It is used primarily as genetic material for breeding and for processing into marmalades, jams, and juices.
