The Hinnomaerik group of varieties consists of vigorous or medium-sized bushes 1 to 1.8 m in height with a spreading or compact form. The shoots of all varieties are covered with single needle-like thorns. The varieties belong to the medium-early maturity group, with fruiting occurring in mid- or late July.
The berries have a round or slightly oval shape, and the fruit weight varies from 3 to 7 g. The skin of the fruit is thin but firm, which makes them resistant to cracking during precipitation and suitable for transportation. The taste of the berries is dessert-like, sweet or sweet-and-sour with a pronounced aroma. The yield is 4–7 kg per bush.
