Variety description

The variety is a hybrid of a European gooseberry and an American wild species. The bush is vigorous, compressed at a young age, and becomes spreading with age. The shoots are thin, slightly curved, covered with multiple thin single, double, or triple spines that fall off from the old wood.

The berries are small, weighing about 1.5 g, round or slightly oblong in shape. The fruit color is dark red or pinkish-red with a waxy bloom, the skin is thin, and the taste is sweet and sour. The variety is of mid-season or mid-late maturity; ripe berries do not fall off the bush for a long time.

The plant has high frost resistance, propagates easily by cuttings, and demonstrates resistance to American powdery mildew. Sunny locations with loamy or sandy loam soils are preferred for planting; the variety does not tolerate acidic or waterlogged areas.
