The variety was obtained by crossing Keepsake, Whinham’s Industry, and Resistenta. The plant is a vigorous spreading bush 1.5–1.8 meters tall with strong upright shoots covered with numerous large thorns.
Fruiting begins in mid-summer. Berries weighing 6–8 g (up to 12 g) are oval-shaped and range in color from light green to yellow-green with an amber tint. The fruits have firm skin, a balanced sweet-and-sour taste, and are suitable for fresh consumption and processing.
The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness (down to -35°C...-40°C) and pronounced resistance to American gooseberry mildew. The yield averages 6–8 kg per bush.
