The fruits of the variety have a large oval shape, tapering towards the stalk, and smooth dark green skin. The flavor of the fruits is sweet and sour with tart notes. When overripe, the berries are prone to shattering, which requires timely harvesting.
The variety was used in breeding as one of the parental forms in the creation of the variety «Пушкинский». Under modern conditions, plantings of this variety are not recommended due to its high susceptibility to American gooseberry mildew.
