The Harmat variety is the result of breeding aimed at increasing the plant's winter hardiness. The bush is upright, reaching a height of 80–120 cm with a width of 60–80 cm. The leaves are dark green with a silvery tint on the underside; flowering occurs from March to May with light blue or mallow-blue flowers.

The plant is characterized by increased resistance to low temperatures, withstanding frosts down to -25°C. The variety is demanding of soil: it prefers well-drained calcareous soils, open sunny areas, and wind-sheltered locations. It is sensitive to excess soil moisture, especially during the winter period.
