Augustred is a late-ripening raspberry variety with a harvest period occurring at the end of summer, primarily in August. The plant forms shoots with a height of 1.2 to 1.5 m, in some cases reaching 2 m. The bush is self-fertile and does not require mandatory staking.

The berries of the variety are medium to large in size and are colored light red. They have a juicy structure, aroma, and sweet-tart taste, and are suitable for fresh consumption and processing. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness down to -30°C and resistance to a number of diseases, but is sensitive to soil waterlogging.
