The variety was obtained as a result of crossing Pyne's Royal and 1307/49. The plant forms very long, light-colored, and stiff canes about 2.4 meters high with sparse prickles. The fruits have medium density.
The variety is intended for industrial use, in particular for mechanical harvesting using specialized equipment. The berries are suitable for the production of jams and marmalades. In experiments, the variety showed an average yield of about 6.1 t/ha.
The variety is noted for its sensitivity to severe winter frosts, accompanied by plant damage during the winter period, although some studies indicated relative winter hardiness compared to other tested samples.
