Diamond Jubilee
ActiveRubus idaeus L. · Red raspberry
Vinson Peter Edward
10 August 2026
The plant reaches a height of 1 to 1.6 meters, sometimes growing up to 2 meters. Red-brown shoots are characterized by medium shoot-forming capacity and a tendency to form lateral branches. Leaves are light green, compound, with serrated margins. The variety often requires trellising to support the weight of the crop.
Berries have a mass of 3–5 grams, a blunt conical or round-conical shape, and a sweet-and-sour taste with a pronounced aroma. Fruits hold well on the bush and are characterized by medium to high transportability. Fruiting occurs from late August until frost; a small early harvest is possible in July.
The variety possesses disease resistance, winter hardiness down to –22°C, and drought tolerance. Due to late flowering, the raspberry is practically not damaged by the raspberry beetle. The yield is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing.
