The variety was obtained by crossing the breeding forms Arkansas Selection 791 and Arkansas Selection 1058. The erect-type bush ("kumanika") has strong, thorny canes approximately 1.5 meters high or more, which may be slightly drooping.
The berries are black, glossy, elongated in shape, and characterized by a dessert taste and high density. The variety shows resistance to rust, anthracnose, and fungal rots, but is susceptible to rosette disease. Frost resistance is down to -22°C.
