The bush is vigorous, semi-erect or semi-trailing, with canes 1.5 to 3 meters in length, requiring cultivation on trellises or supports. The variety is completely thornless, which facilitates maintenance and harvesting.
Fruits are large, oval or oblong in shape, black with a gloss, and possess a sweet taste with slight acidity. The variety is characterized by good resistance to Septoria leaf spot and anthracnose, moderate tolerance to powdery mildew, and requires covering in cold winter conditions.
Harvesting takes place between July and October. The variety is a descendant of forms with the recessive thornless gene and has served as a breeding basis for a number of other well-known blackberry varieties.
