Tree 20–25 meters in height with a straight trunk and a slightly curved central leader. Characterized by the presence of many short, steeply upward-pointing branches. At a young age, the crown is very narrow and dense, becoming somewhat wider with age.
Leaves 7–9 cm long and about 1.5 cm wide, light green on top and grey-blue underneath. Leaf fall occurs late. The variety is a male clone and is moderately susceptible to the bacterial disease watermark disease (Erwinia salicis).
