The variety is a clone with a straight cylindrical trunk and a narrow or slightly spreading crown. The shoots have a reddish-brown hue, and the leaves are short and narrow, green on the top and slightly pubescent on the underside. Phenologically, the variety is characterized by late bud break and mid-late leaf fall.
The plant possesses good regenerative ability and is resistant to damage by wild animals. The variety is adapted to waterlogged and heavy clay soils, yet is demanding of moisture availability. In the case of water deficiency, low survival rates and reduced growth rates are observed.
