The Lisa variety belongs to the species Salix viminalis and was obtained by crossing the Tordis and Olof varieties. The plant is intended for energy plantations used for biomass production within the framework of short rotation coppice (Short Rotation Coppice).

Morphologically, the variety is described as a plant with narrow leaves. Research confirms a high rooting capacity of cuttings, reaching 95–100%. The variety shows good yield under Central European conditions and a low degree of susceptibility to rust of the Melampsora genus in field trials.
