The variety has a complex genetic origin involving Salix viminalis and other willow species. The plant possesses rapid growth and the ability for annual vegetative regeneration from the stump after cutting.

The clone demonstrates a high yield of dry biomass and relatively high resistance to rust. The production is suitable for the manufacturing of fuel woodchips and is also considered as a raw material for biorefining and the extraction of antibacterial extracts.
