The variety is a hybrid of Salix schwerinii and Salix viminalis species, bred within the framework of a Swedish breeding program using genetic material selected during expeditions to Russia and Siberia. It is a shrub form of willow possessing a specific growth rhythm.

The plant is intended for industrial biomass production. It is characterized by high dry matter yield, good frost resistance, and resistance to leaf rust. It possesses high vitality and the ability for clonal propagation.
