The Linnea variety belongs to the category of energy willows grown using the short-rotation coppice (SRC) technology. The plant is distinguished by biometric features: compared to a number of other clones, the shoots of this variety have a smaller height and diameter, which is compensated by their increased number per plant.

In field trials, the variety demonstrates productivity indicators that may be inferior to the highest-yielding clones in terms of dry matter yield. With high planting density, the willow shows high calorific value indicators, and due to a higher proportion of bark, it is considered as potential raw material for the extraction of active substances.
