Variety description

The plant is a compact bush with a height of 50 to 60 cm, in some cases reaching 80 cm. The gray-green leaves are oblong-lanceolate in shape, pubescent, and possess a specific aroma when rubbed. The deep blue-violet flowers are collected in long spike-like inflorescences.

Flowering begins in early summer; if faded inflorescences are pruned, secondary flowering is possible. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness (zone 5, down to -29°C) and drought tolerance; however, in hot and humid climates with an excess of nutrients or a lack of light, the bush may lodge.
