The variety forms a compact mound of foliage, above which rise flower stalks with pincushion-type inflorescences. The leaves have a pinnate, fern-like structure. In commerce, the plant is found under the name Harlequin Blue.
The plant is intended for decorative use in borders, containers, and mass plantings; it is also suitable for cutting. After establishment, the variety exhibits drought tolerance and the ability to withstand animal pressure, such as deer.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
