Variety description

The plant has a compact, cushion-like habit, reaching a height of 30–36 cm. The foliage is dark gray-green, dissected, and basal. The large violet-blue flowers have a light fragrance and are distinguished by their rich color.

The variety is distinguished by a long flowering period from March–April to the end of summer or early autumn. The plant is drought-tolerant after establishment and demonstrates resistance to diseases and deer. Short peduncles contribute to high lodging resistance and the maintenance of a neat bush shape.

Depending on climatic conditions, it can be grown as a perennial in hardiness zones 5a–9b or as a short-lived perennial.
