The variety was obtained by individual selection from a complex hybrid combination of crossing a natural diploid mutant with the varieties Saratovskaya 4, Voskhod 1, and Kustro. The plant is characterized as short-statured, with a stem height from 116 to 127 cm and a strong culm.
The vegetation period of the variety is approximately 2–3 days longer than that of the variety Kustro 3. The variety possesses excellent winter hardiness and high lodging resistance, as well as good resistance to leaf diseases, including brown rust and ergot.
The variety is high-yielding and maintains stable performance without intensive fertilizer application. The grain is medium-sized. The variety is suitable for organic farming, is effective for nitrogen uptake and weed suppression, and can be used in mixed crops.
