KWS Mangano is a hybrid winter rye variety known for its high yield and winter hardiness. The plants are of medium height, which results in medium susceptibility to lodging.

The grain of this variety has a high thousand kernel weight and good test weight with low protein content. The variety shows some susceptibility to diseases and is also known in documentation by the breeding number KWS-H 158.
