The variety was obtained by the method of individual selection from a complex hybrid combination, including the tetraploid mutant EM-1, as well as the varieties Dotnuvele and Kombaininiai tetra. The plant is characterized by long ears and high winter hardiness.
The thousand kernel weight is 45–52 g, the yield is estimated at 7.6 t/ha. The variety has medium resistance to leaf diseases and high susceptibility to ergot (Claviceps purpurea). The grain is used in the food industry and baking.
