The variety is used in agronomic and biotechnological research as an object for laboratory analysis, in particular to evaluate the activity of the myrosinase enzyme and to study the biocidal properties of cruciferous crops.

The variety is associated with the activities of the CREA research center and is considered as material for studying biofumigation processes aimed at suppressing soil-borne pests through the release of isothiocyanates during the decomposition of plant residues.
