The variety was bred in the city of Prerov at the Land Institute for Plant Breeding and was officially registered in 1940. In 1982, it was replaced in production by the more modern variety «Zlata».

The variety was intended for the production of seeds used in the food industry and agriculture, where it was used as a honey plant, cover crop, green manure, and as a means for nematode control. Detailed technical descriptors of the variety are absent in modern specifications.
