The Spirit rootstock is used in industrial vegetable production to improve plant survival and productivity. Its use allows grafted crops to better withstand stress factors and diseases through the utilization of the genetic characteristics of the wild species Solanum pimpinellifolium.

This object is not intended for cultivation for the purpose of obtaining commercial fruit. The morphological characteristics of the rootstock are secondary to its functional properties, such as the ability to effectively graft with the scion and provide the necessary conditions for the life activity of the commercial variety.
