The line was developed within the breeding program of the Miguel Hernández University with the aim of increasing plant resistance to Tomato mosaic virus (ToMV), Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV), and Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV).

Molecular marker-assisted selection and backcrossing methods were used to create the material. The main objective of the line is to combine high viral resistance with the preservation of the characteristic flavor and organoleptic qualities of traditional varieties for the fresh market.
