Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the very early group. Its origin is linked to Dutch breeding, with the Aminca variety and the VE 70-9 line indicated as parent forms. Morphological indicators, such as the number of stems and the average weight of tubers, demonstrate significant variability depending on external growing conditions.

In agronomic studies, the variety was considered in the context of examining resistance to the potato tuber moth and the bacterial disease blackleg. In production conditions, the variety was used to ensure food security in Eritrea, and was also used in experiments to evaluate the effect of potassium and ecological fertilizers on growth and yield.
