The Scottish variety Amour is an early maincrop potato with red skin and shallow eyes. Its tubers are notable for uniformity in size and color, the flesh is light, with low dry matter content. The variety is characterized by acceptable resistance to late blight and resistance to potato cyst nematode (Ro1).
The Russian variety "Амур" belongs to mid-early table varieties. The plant is tall, spreading, with red-violet flowers. Oval-shaped tubers with red skin and light yellow flesh contain 12.6–15.7% starch and belong to culinary type B. The variety is resistant to potato wart, but susceptible to golden nematode.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
