Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety was obtained in 1989 as a result of crossing Aguti and Ponto. Plants are medium-sized, semi-erect, with weakly pigmented stems and red-violet flowers with a white star. Tubers are round-shaped, medium or small in size, have smooth yellow skin, superficial eyes, and dark yellow flesh.

The variety is medium- or high-yielding. It possesses immunity to potato wart and virus A, high resistance to golden potato cyst nematode, viruses PVYn and PVYntn. Moderately resistant to blackleg and tuber spotting, however susceptible to late blight, common scab, and leaf roll.

Tubers are distinguished by a moderately firm or firm texture, suitable for boiling, frying, and making salads. Intended for sale in the fresh produce market.
