The variety was obtained as a result of breeding work by Thijs Jippes by crossing the Redstar and Laura varieties. In terms of maturity, it is classified as a mid-late or late variety.
Under field trial conditions, the variety demonstrated a high yield, reaching 46.2 t/ha. The variety is susceptible to late blight, while a low incidence of rhizoctoniosis was noted.
