The variety is a traditional local potato from northwestern Croatia. Currently, work is underway to include it in the official list of protected varieties to ensure the possibility of commercial production.
The plant exhibits resistance to late blight and common scab. The variety is susceptible to PVM and PVS viruses, in connection with which scientific research is being conducted on the sanitation of planting material using chemotherapy and meristem culture methods.
