The variety forms a plant with large leaves and good ground cover. Each nest produces from 14 to 16 large, uniform-sized oval tubers with light yellow flesh. The flesh does not darken after cooking and has good taste qualities.
The potatoes belong to cooking type AB–B, are slightly floury, and are suitable for salads, frying, and boiling. The dry matter content in the tubers is average. The variety is characterized by good keeping quality and a medium to long dormancy period.
Cimega has high resistance to tuber late blight, common scab, and Y virus. The variety is resistant to potato cyst nematode (Ro1, 4) and potato wart (type 1), while resistance to foliage late blight is rated as medium.
