The plant is resistant to potato cyst nematode (Ro 1-4) and relatively resistant to late blight of leaves. Increased drought tolerance is noted. The variety is moderately susceptible to potato virus Y, and is also susceptible to potato virus X, potato virus A and potato wart. Tubers are characterized by a fairly high susceptibility to common scab.
