The variety is a product of the Oak Park breeding program. Its parent forms were the varieties M7 and Ulster Premier.
The plant belongs to the category of early varieties and is intended for table use. During trials, the variety demonstrated good productivity and a drought tolerance rating of 7 points on a nine-point scale.
The variety shows susceptibility to the potato cyst nematode Globodera rostochiensis.
