The variety possesses complex resistance to a number of viral and fungal diseases. These include potato leafroll virus (PLRV), viruses X, A, and Y (PVX, PVA, PVY), as well as late blight of leaves and tubers and common scab.
The variety was created by specialists at the Potato Research Institute in Stara Sušica as part of a program for breeding high-yielding varieties. In archival documents, the plant may be mentioned in lists of varieties excluded from registries or subject to replacement during the updating of breeding programs.
