The variety was obtained by crossing parental forms VG3CAE 5 and Charmante. It belongs to a specialized line of colored-flesh varieties developed for preserving genetic diversity and creating products with unique characteristics.
The tubers have a dark purple skin and flesh color, which is maintained after heat treatment. In terms of maturity, the variety is classified as mid-late. The chemical composition shows an increased content of polyphenolic compounds.
Due to its organoleptic properties, the variety is recommended for preparing purees, salads, and steaming. It is positioned as a culinary product aimed at the retail market and the restaurant sector.
