The plant possesses high resistance to common scab and dry rot, but can be susceptible to Phytophthora infestans. The variety originated as a somatic mutation of the Langworthy variety and is described as a periclinal chimera.
Tubers contain a high percentage of dry matter, disintegrate significantly during cooking, and have a floury texture. Due to its qualities, the variety is intended for baking in its skin, preparing mashed potatoes, chips, and boiling, with its flavor characteristics potentially improving during storage.
