The variety possesses genetic resistance to the golden potato cyst nematode (Globodera rostochiensis) and exhibits resistance to the nematode Globodera pallida, the level of which depends on the pest population. Under field conditions, the variety is characterized by moderate susceptibility to early blight and susceptibility to soft rot.

The plant is used in agricultural practice and scientific work, including studies of response to drought and heat stress, as well as the application of meristem culture methods. Genetically, the variety originates from Solanum tuberosum ssp. andigena, line CPC 1673.
