The plant has a semi-erect habit and a leaf-type foliage structure. The stems are of medium thickness with pronounced uniform anthocyanin coloration; the nodes are not swollen or are characterized by a very weak degree of swelling.
The leaves are dark green with strong anthocyanin coloration of the petioles. The terminal leaflets are of medium size, ovate in shape, with an acuminate tip and a cordate base.
