The variety is a product of the breeding program of the French research station Station de Recherche du Comité Nord. In the industrial sector, it gained prominence due to its characteristics suitable for processing, in particular, the high viscosity of starch in the tubers.

This potato variety has been used in breeding work as a parental line for obtaining other hybrid varieties. Detailed morphological descriptions of the plant and indicators of agronomic resistance to diseases are absent in open publications.
