The variety Paru is known as an object of breeding trials conducted by the James Hutton Institute. In 2010 field studies, it showed resistance to late blight on leaves, receiving a score of 6.5 on the accepted scale, which was lower than the standard Sarpo Mira.
Tubers of this variety have an elongated shape. The variety was considered in the context of research for organic farming needs, however, detailed agronomic characteristics, such as maturity group or a description of the vegetative part of the plant, are absent in open publications.
