The variety was obtained by crossing the Belita variety with breeding line VE 78-61. The tubers are round-oval in shape, with yellow skin and light yellow flesh; the eyes range from shallow to moderately deep.
The variety possesses resistance to potato cyst nematodes of species Ro1, Ro2/3 and Pa2, as well as to potato wart pathotypes 1, 2/6 and 18. Resistance to viruses X, Y, A and leaf roll is characterized as good; resistance of the foliage and tubers to late blight is characterized as medium and above medium, respectively. Resistance to common scab is noted.
The potato is suitable for the production of flakes, granules, and processing into starch. It possesses a high dry matter content, good yield, and keeping quality during storage.
