The variety is the result of crossing Golden Wonder and Ella varieties. In terms of maturity, it belongs to very late potato varieties.
Tubers possess a floury texture and a high starch content, averaging 19.5–21.0%. The variety is characterized by low resistance to late blight, but has good resistance to common scab and is rarely affected by certain viral diseases.
It is used primarily as a table potato for preparing mashed potatoes and baking in its skin.
