The variety Borneo (breeding number SVVC5796) is a hybrid with an upright growth habit. The plant forms attractive, smooth, rounded, and fleshy leaf blades on short petioles. The variety is distinguished by high uniformity, yield, and the ability for multiple harvests.

Due to slowed development of flower stalks, the variety possesses high resistance to bolting, which allows it to be grown during the summer period. The plant has improved field holding ability and resistance to Peronospora farinosa f. sp. spinaciae races 1–15 and 17.

The variety is intended for cultivation for the fresh market and industrial processing. Thanks to its plasticity, the hybrid is suitable for cultivation on various types of soils during summer sowing.
