The variety belongs to the traditional "sharp-seeded" type. The plant forms a rosette of large, broad, fairly fleshy leaves of light green color.

The variety is fast-growing and suitable for early spring and late autumn sowings. When grown in summer, a rapid transition of the plant to bolting is possible.
