The variety is derived from Gamma material. The plant is characterized by slow development, which ensures high resistance to bolting and allows for late spring sowing.
The leaves have a smooth surface, a rounded shape, and a very dark color. The variety shows resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora farinosa) races 1 and 2, and also possesses tolerance to race 3.
